Actalent is seeking a Microelectronics Assembler for a contract role in Chelmsford, MA. You will perform hands-on assembly and testing of microelectronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products following detailed work instructions and quality standards.

The position emphasizes precision, ESD control, and adherence to IPC‑A‑610/J-STD‑001 standards, with weekend shifts Fri–Sun 5:00 AM–5:30 PM and first-month first-shift training to start on weekdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in electronics and microelectronics assembly.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and final products per work instructions.
• Use microscopes and measuring tools to ensure precision and quality.
• Read and interpret assembly docs, procedures, and drawings.
• Handle components with ESD control and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain production records and traceability data in digital systems.
• Collaborate with team to improve throughput and resolve issues.
• Adhere to training on standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC‑A‑610.
• Operate hand and pneumatic tools safely and accurately.
• Support ongoing quality and process improvements.
• Attend training and contribute to a high-reliability assembly environment.
