Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Metrology Technician at our Chanhassen, MN facility to support calibration, inspection, engineering, and testing. You will document measurement traceability, ensure prompt detection of inaccuracies, and initiate corrective action to maintain quality.

A sign-on bonus may be available for the right candidate. The role involves collaborating with engineering to define calibration needs, applying appropriate lab standards, and performing calibrations per procedures.

Qualifications

• 1800 hours of technical education.
• Minimum of four (4) years of metrology, calibration-related, or equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to apply safe lifting and ergonomic guidelines on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify calibration requirements with engineering.
• Determine appropriate laboratory standards for calibrations.
• Perform moderately complex calibrations of test and measurement equipment.
• Document calibration results and identify failures in the metrology system.
• Create and validate calibration procedures from manuals and methods.
• Safely remove/reinstall equipment from production/engineering stations.
