Job summary

SIMCO Electronics in Denver, CO is seeking a Calibration Technician C to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment across multiple disciplines, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.

The role requires hands-on calibration, data collection, and reporting, with opportunities to train others and interact with customers. Travel to domestic locations is possible as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must perform general math and algebra functions.
• Understanding of basic statistics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Technical writing ability.
• Intermediate ability to troubleshoot precision equipment.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Minimum three years of calibration experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IMTE) in multiple disciplines to published specifications.
• Maintain primary and secondary calibration standards.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment.
• Develop calibration procedures from detailed specifications and drawings.
• Collect, measure, summarize, and record calibration data.
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action.
• Identify and correct measurement errors as applicable.
• Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
• Train subordinates in calibration concepts and procedures.
• Interact with technicians, CSRs, account managers, and customers.
