Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Metrology Technician to support calibration, inspection, engineering, and testing at our Chanhassen, MN facility. You will perform moderately complex calibrations of test and measurement equipment and document traceability, ensuring prompt detection of inaccuracies and corrective actions.

Qualifications

1800 hours of technical education.
Minimum of four years in metrology, calibration or equipment maintenance.
Ability to apply safe lifting and ergonomic guidelines.
Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Legal US work authorization; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

Perform moderately complex calibrations of test and measurement equipment per procedures.
Document calibration results in the metrology management system and identify failures.
Identify calibration requirements with engineering and determine standards needed.
Create and validate moderate calibration procedures from manufacturer manuals.
