Job summary

Electroswitch is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Setup Operator for our Rockland, MA facility. This role prepares and runs stamping presses, loads dies, reads blueprints, and ensures parts meet specifications and tolerances.

Ideal candidates have hands-on press setup, material-feeding, and the ability to document quality data. You will maintain safety, operate material-handling equipment, and work with a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in press operation preferred.
• 1–3 years of press operation/setup experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing specs.
• Experience with dies, stamping presses, and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, specs, and blueprints before production.
• Select, install, and set up dies for each order.
• Adjust feeds and straighteners to ensure alignment.
• Load coils weighing up to 800 lb onto unwind stand and feed through straightener.
• Set up and operate automatic and manual stamping presses with various dies.
