Oberg Industries is seeking a Precision Metal Polisher in Freeport, PA to transform machined components into finished parts by polishing surfaces to exact customer specifications. The role emphasizes focus, steady hands, and attention to detail in a daylight, on-site shift.

You will read blueprints, hand-carve radii, verify dimensions with precision tools, and ensure products meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or compliant with U.S. export regulations.
• Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Polish precision components to blueprint and customer specifications.
• Hand carve radii to exact dimensional requirements.
• Verify radii, dimensions, and surface finishes with precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Operate polishing equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
