Oberg Industries seeks a Precision Metal Polisher in Freeport, PA to transform machined parts into finished precision components. You’ll read blueprints, hand-carve radii, and polish surfaces to exact customer specifications with focus and steady hands in a 10-hour, on-site shift.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years polishing experience or strong technical aptitude; training is provided. Expect a collaborative, safety-focused environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or compliant with U.S. export regulations.
• Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Polish precision components to blueprint, customer, and manufacturing specifications.
• Hand carve radii to exact dimensional requirements.
• Verify radii, dimensions, and surface finishes using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Operate polishing equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
