Job summary

nVent is seeking a Fabrication Operator I in Medway, MA to support the fabrication and assembly of metal components, following blueprints and work instructions. You will use hand and power tools, verify dimensions, and help meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience preferred.
• Basic blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Ability to read a tape measure (inch/metric).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to perform repetitive motions safely.
• Close vision and product quality inspection abilities.

Responsibilities

• Grind, drill, bend, punch, roll, cut, saw, route, and sand metal surfaces.
• Assist in fabrication and assembly of standard and custom components.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and production documents.
• Measure materials and verify dimensions.
• Support production to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per 5S principles.
• Report equipment, quality, and safety concerns to leadership.
• Perform other duties to support manufacturing operations.
