Job summary

nVent is seeking team-oriented individuals to join our metal finishing and fabrication teams in a dynamic production environment in Richland, MS. You will grind, sand, and insulate components, assist finishers, and help fabricate non-standard parts while maintaining safety and quality.

The role emphasizes adherence to production schedules, effective communication with team members, and willingness to learn forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Basic print reading and tape measure reading to 1/16 in are preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to effectively prioritize work based on production schedules.
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
• Able to achieve forklift certification and safely operate a forklift.
• Able to lift items up to 40 lbs and stand/walk on shift in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Grind, route, or sand metal surfaces with hand-held tools.
• Assist Metal Finishers in cleaning surfaces and applying plating chemicals.
• Apply insulation to conductors and trim excess.
• Assist in fabricating non-standard parts and housings.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop area and equipment.
