Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks experienced Hardware Engineers to join the Cable Backplane Product Development team in Valley Green, PA. The role focuses on precision engineering, blending electrical and mechanical expertise to design and maintain mechanisms for high-speed cable backplanes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in electronics industry, precision engineering emphasis.
• 3+ years of experience in CAD software (Creo).
• 3+ years of industry experience in design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with collaboration in product design stages.
• Good understanding of GD&T methodologies, tolerance analysis, and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adapt to evolving industry needs and product requirements.
• Collaborate with NPI and Machine Design teams for high-volume production.
• Work with Signal Integrity team to support electrical performance through mechanical design.
• Ensure mechanical design meets high reliability and quality standards.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate electronic control systems.
• Interface with customers during project phases and support sales.
• DFM with internal/external suppliers; prototyping and tooling design.
• Provide technical assistance to product marketing and sales teams.
• Present project updates to upper management.
• Attend industry trade shows and conferences as needed.
