Job summary

Aerotek in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Mechanical Assembler / Manufacturing Operator B to assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies, perform washing and rework, and load pallets in a clean, safe factory. You will support quality and manufacturing processes, training to connect pumps to test devices and operate test stands to verify performance.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in manufacturing, with hands-on assembly experience, ability to read work instructions and blueprints,

Qualifications

• At least 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience in mechanical assembly or hands-on production work.
• Ability to perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools safely.
• Capable of reading and following work instructions, packets, and basic blueprints/diagrams.
• Skill in using measuring tools like tape measures and automated equipment.
• Proven ability to meet productivity and production targets.
• Attention to detail in inspecting parts and verifying specs with test equipment.
• Ability to operate test stands after training.
• Strong problem-solving to resolve issues affecting quality or flow.
• Accurate completion of production and quality documents (scrap tags, forms).
• Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
• Comfort standing for long shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Study job packets to prepare for assignments and ensure correct parts and tools are available.
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies per instructions and standard work.
• Perform line assembly, washing, rework and pallet loading as required.
• Verify product specs using visual inspection and test equipment.
• Operate test stands to test pumps and other products.
• Assist Engineering in troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
• Escalate issues hindering standard work and request resources as needed.
• Document actions and outcomes on production/quality forms.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and PPE adherence.
• Perform other duties to support production and continuous improvement.
