Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for Mechanical Assemblers on a 2nd shift in Minnesota. You will work on precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly across medical, magnet, gear motor, and electronics areas in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

The role offers growth into electronic or gearmotor assembly, with opportunities to advance and earn bonuses. You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and perform sub-assemblies in a low-volume, high-mix setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of strong mechanical assembly experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Proficiency with power tools used in assembly (drills, drivers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with mechanical systems and components.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Experience or comfort with electrical and mechanical assembly processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail in low-volume, high-product-mix environments.
• Interest in growth into electronic or gearmotor assembly roles.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components per blueprints and work instructions.
• Bench assemble low-volume, high-mix products across multiple product types.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify dimensions and specs.
• Operate power tools for fastening, drilling, and related tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics to guide assembly.
• Perform sub-assemblies and prepare parts for final assembly in various departments.
• Work with epoxy machines in magnet assembly; apply adhesives and sealants with care.
• Conduct basic repair or rework to meet quality standards.
• Handle small parts and intricate assemblies with steady manual dexterity.
