Job summary

HORIBA Instruments is seeking a Mechanical Assembler I in Ann Arbor, MI. This regular full-time role involves assembling parts into complete units based on detailed drawings and specifications, using hand tools and fixtures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• General assembly experience and knowledge of assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of tube bending and leak testing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Works from detailed assembly drawings and specifications; plans layouts using flowcharts; obtains necessary parts from stockroom.
• Installs mechanical components; forms and connects stainless steel tubing using hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures.
• Performs leak checks and other necessary tests.
