Job summary

HORIBA Instruments Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to assemble and fit components into complete units and subassemblies. You will work from detailed drawings, plan layouts, obtain parts from stock, and install mechanical components using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and tube bending.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Works from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
• Plans layouts using flowcharts.
• Identifies and obtains necessary parts and components from stockroom.
• Installs mechanical components.
• Forms and connects stainless steel tubing using hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures.
• Performs leak checks and other necessary tests.
