Job summary
Atlas Copco Group in Voorheesville, NY is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our advanced manufacturing facility. You will assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks, with attention to quality and schedules.
Responsibilities include mechanical and electrical assembly, motor/compressor alignment, wiring, testing, and adherence to OSHA safety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Able to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
- Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools.
- Certification to use cranes and fork trucks.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
- Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
- Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.
