Job summary

Atlas Copco in Voorheesville, NY, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble compressors and related equipment, align motors, install wiring, and perform hydrostatic testing to ensure quality.

Applicants should have a High School diploma, reading drawings, and tool experience. Cranes/fork trucks certification is required. This is a second shift role with strong safety expectations and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of training in Electrical or Mechanical field or 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
• Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools.
• Certification to use cranes and fork trucks is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work including motor/compressor alignment and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring and oil/water piping following drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and verification to meet quality standards.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and work the 3:00pm–1:30am shift, Monday–Thursday.
