Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking an Assembler I to assemble mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints and visuals. You will work with fellow assemblers on-site in Saugerties, NY, under a Team Leader, prioritizing safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Candidate will read blueprints, use power and hand tools, and maintain equipment. Prior production experience and a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude are preferred; formal advanced schooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated.
• Previous production or related work experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Experience working with machinery.
• Familiarity with standard power and hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints, and technical terms.
• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
• Discern quality of parts and materials used in productions.
• Follow company procedures and directives.
• Check output to ensure highest quality.
• Keep records of production quantities and time; report issues or defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• Other duties may be assigned.
