Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Voorheesville, NY, seeks a Mechanical Assembler on a Mon-Thu night shift (3:00 pm–1:30 am). You will assemble and test compressors and related equipment using hand and power tools, cranes, and fork trucks, following drawings and safety rules.

Requires 1 year of electrical/mechanical training (or 2 years' experience) and ability to read drawings. We offer competitive pay ($29–$33/hour) with a 10% shift differential, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career

Qualifications

• One year of training in Electrical or Mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Able to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
• Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools.
• Certification to operate cranes and fork trucks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring and electrical components per drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and verification to meet quality standards.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment.

As a Mechanical Assembler, you play a vital role in our production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. Your expertise and dedication are essential in manufacturing products according to detailed specifications and schedules. You will

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.
• Work second shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am EST.
