Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience with portion cutting meat.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions for order sizes.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately cut to trim and yield specifications as per cut tickets.
• Provide communication to supervisor for any discrepancies between tickets and customer purchases.
• Pull raw materials and pre-cut inventory according to code dates and report short shelf-life items.
• Label all products and equipment to conform to regulations.
• Record data to produce assigned cutting yield tests.
• Count product inventory levels and maintain supervisor-set levels.
• Ensure product specs meet guidelines and USDA safety standards.
• Assemble and tear down equipment at shift start/end.
• Clean, store and maintain knives, scales, etc.
• Manage profitability by achieving yields and meeting deadlines for readiness.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Follow safety goals and participate in safety program.
• Report unsafe conditions or acts to management.
• Report accidents, injuries or illnesses to supervisor promptly.
• Ability to negotiate production and warehousing areas without disruption.
