Job summary

US1490 North Star Seafood, LLC is seeking a production associate to accurately cut to yield specifications and communicate discrepancies to supervision. You will pull and pre-cut inventory, label everything per regulations, and record data for yield tests.

Maintain inventory levels, ensure USDA-aligned practices, and assist with safety and equipment setup. Responsibilities include counting inventory, meeting product readiness deadlines, and reporting unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately cut to trim and yield specifications as per cut tickets.
• Communicate any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Pull raw materials and pre-cut inventory by code dates and report short shelf-life items.
• Label products and equipment to meet legal and safety rules.
• Record data to produce cutting yield tests.
• Count inventory levels and maintain supervisor-set levels.
• Ensure product specs meet guidelines and USDA standards.
• Assemble and tear down equipment at shifts start/end.
• Clean, store and maintain knives, scales, etc.
• Help profitability by achieving yields and meeting deadlines.
• Participate in safety program and report unsafe conditions.
• Understand and follow safety goals and practices.
• Report accidents or injuries immediately.
• Possess ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
