Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc is seeking a Meat Cutter to expertly cut and trim meat and seafood, assist with department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other detail-driven tasks. You will help deliver an impeccable guest experience across the department.

This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a passion for excellence in meat and seafood quality. Weekend/evening shifts are required to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certification within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items to assist guests across departments.
• Cut and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards and in alignment with guest requests.
• Monitor case temperatures and ensure freshness and quality across storage areas.
• Enforce safety practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading to maintain quality.
• Adhere to safety, food safety policies, and legal requirements.
