Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter who will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to our standards while assisting guests with meal solutions. You will also support department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operational tasks demanding attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

This role requires 2+ years of meat-cutting experience, ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items and assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions.
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim a variety of meat and seafood products while ensuring freshness and quality per standards.
• Monitor case temperatures, spills, and storage areas to maintain product quality and safety.
• Enforce department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
