Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking Laboratory Technicians who turn field samples into numbers under a documented AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment and real accountability for every result. You will perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136 and C39 testing, maintain calibration records, log samples, preserve chain of custody, and report strength results the same day.

Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour with overtime during busy seasons; mostly daytime hours at the lab

Qualifications

• Careful hands, clean documentation habits, mechanical aptitude.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, not required — we train.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work done right every time.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
