Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a laboratory technician to convert field samples into precise numbers. You'll operate within an AASHTO R18 quality system, using calibrated equipment and maintaining strict records. Training is provided while you learn ASTM methods and reporting workflows.

Day-to-day includes handling samples, running tests, logging results, and communicating with project teams, with steady hours and occasional field support as needed.

Qualifications

• Careful hands, clean documentation habits, mechanical aptitude
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, not required — we train
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work done right every time

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
