Job summary

MiTek is seeking an attentive material-handler for our facility. You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load/ unload coils, feed materials into stamping lines and conduct first-piece QC inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and coating checks.

Additional duties include monitoring coolant and lubricant levels, maintaining clean work areas, and strict adherence to safety policies. The role requires availability for overtime and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Operate large forklifts or overhead cranes to load/unload master coils or materials from rail cars and/or trucks.
• Load/unload slit ribbon material on production line decoilers as defined by the steel loading process.
• Feed slit ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Perform routine quality control on materials (thickness, gauge, width, coating).
• Monitor coolant and oil levels in production equipment and adjust as needed.
• Attend and be ready for shift, including overtime as required.
