Job summary

MiTek is seeking a hands-on material handler to operate forklifts and overhead cranes, loading and unloading materials from rail cars and trucks. The role includes feeding material into stamping dies, performing first piece inspections, and conducting routine quality checks.

Flexibility is required to move between Largo and Zephyrhills until relocation is completed. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED (or related experience) and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Must maintain outstanding safety record and follow safety policies.
• Ability to interact professionally with co-workers, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts or overhead cranes to load/unload materials from rail cars/trucks.
• Load/unload slit ribbon material on production line decoilers according to steel loading process.
• Feed slit ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Perform routine quality control on materials (thickness, gauge, width, coating).
• Monitor coolant and oil levels on production equipment and adjust as needed.
