Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Three or more years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing or production.
• Able to read, comprehend, write and communicate in English.
• Intermediate to advanced math: able to add, subtract, multiply and divide two-digit numbers without calculator and handle larger operations.
• Able to understand and interpret financial, business and production data/metrics.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Basic computer skills; intermediate Excel level.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Must be a US Person.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of hourly employees.
• Align with business objectives of plant, department and manager.
• Achieve department and shift objectives by managing staff and functions; coordinate plans and evaluate activities.
• Train, develop, coach and counsel leads, employees and new hires; provide feedback and evaluations.
• Treat all employees fairly and professionally.
• Assign work fairly; consider individual capabilities.
• Monitor daily schedule, productivity targets; discuss priorities with team.
• Teach and reinforce department rules, safety, quality and through-put.
