Job summary

Heaviside Industries in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Production Engineering & Design professional to lead assembly instructions, drive manufacturability, and manage supplier relationships for precision munitions. You will optimize core production processes, support new product introductions, and ensure ECO/ECR-driven changes are implemented on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.
Hands-on experience with CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly processes.
Experience managing subcontractors/suppliers in production contexts.
Familiarity with ECO/ECR change processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain assembly instructions and work procedures.
Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
Drive Design for Manufacturability (DfM) reviews and improvements.
Apply knowledge of CNC, molding, and overmolding processes.
Evaluate manufacturing methods for components and assemblies.
Identify process improvements and drive efficiency across workflows.
Manage subcontractors and external manufacturers; ensure quality and delivery.
Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment for prototyping and production support.
