Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, assembly, injection molding, and over molding.
• Experience managing subcontractors and external suppliers in a production context.
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing technologies and processes.
• Strong understanding of ECO/ECR change-management processes.
• Ability to create and maintain assembly instructions and work procedures.
• Working knowledge of ERP or MES systems.
• Experience with RMA processes, repair workflows, and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with tool calibration and maintenance planning.
• Structured, detail-oriented documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain assembly instructions and work instructions for production.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacturing.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability reviews and improvements.
• Apply core production processes knowledge to CNC machining, assembly, injection molding, and overmolding; select appropriate methods.
• Identify process improvements and drive efficiency across production workflows.
• Manage and follow up subcontractors and external manufacturers; ensure quality and delivery criteria.
• Collaborate with suppliers on process capability and continuous improvement.
• Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment for prototyping and production support.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders and Engineering Change Requests; coordinate cross-functional reviews.
• Ensure changes are documented and implemented on the shop floor.
• Support and manage the RMA process; analyze failures and report trends.
• Plan and execute tool calibration schedules; maintain calibration records.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Utilize ERP and MES systems to manage production data, BOMs, and routings; ensure data accuracy.
