Job summary

Heaviside Industries, based in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Production Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for precision munitions. You will develop assembly instructions, drive manufacturability improvements, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality and timely delivery.

You will also manage 3D printing for prototyping, oversee ECO/ECR changes, and support ERP/MES data accuracy while maintaining rigorous documentation and traceability in a defense industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical education in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC machining, assembly, injection molding and overmolding is essential.
• Proven track record managing subcontractors and suppliers in a production context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain assembly instructions and work procedures.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacturing and drive DfM improvements.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and external manufacturers to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment for prototyping and production support.
• Manage ECO/ECR processes and coordinate cross-functional reviews.
