Job summary

Tencarva Machinery Company, a long-established distributor and repair partner in the process equipment market, is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our shop in Macon, GA. This is a manual machining role, not CNC production, requiring independent setup and operation of lathes, Bridgeport mills, boring mills, and VTLs to machine shafts and rotating components.

You will reverse engineer parts from drawings or sketches, hold tight tolerances, measure with precision tools, and work with

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating manual machine tools (lathe, mill, VTL).
• Ability to machine to tight tolerances from drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, boring mills, and VTLs.
• Machine shafts, sleeves, bushings, housings, and other rotating components.
• Measure finished work with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Reverse engineer components from worn parts or sketches.
• Inspect for dimensional accuracy and quality.
