Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform turning, milling, drilling, and threading on rotating equipment components. You will set up conventional machines, read blueprints, and verify tolerances using precision instruments to ensure quality.

Strong focus on safety, documentation, and teamwork is required. The role includes a mix of shop duties, maintenance, and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Operate conventional machining equipment and maintain tolerances.
• Standards compliance with specifications and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to produce or repair precision parts.
• Set up machines with correct tooling, fixtures and materials for each job.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers, gauges to verify tolerances.
• Perform turning, boring, threading, facing, drilling, and milling operations.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformity with specs.
• Document measurements and deviations; follow safety procedures.
