Job summary

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches; follow verbal instructions.
• Set up and operate manual Hardinge lathes, Bridgeport milling machines and grinders.
• Capable of selecting appropriate tooling and cutters.
• Able to troubleshoot and develop fixtures for production runs and short-run jobs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Bridgeport Mills, Hardinge Lathes, surface grinders, and tool grinders.
• Ensure machined components meet blueprint specs using measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges).
• Produce quality finishes and hold tight tolerances; inspect first run and spot-check subsequent parts.
• Collaborate with engineers on R&D projects and be flexible with duties.
