Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders or written instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Welding experience is desirable.
• Able to read calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, height gauges and other inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines including milling machines, lathes, drill press, surface grinder and related tools per engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with written/verbal instructions.
• Maintain on-time production by following the schedule.
• Inspect components and assemblies to ensure form, fit, and function to dimensional criteria.
• Complete routings, inspection reports, and time entries; keep shop floor packets current.
• Assist in fixture development with engineering and tooling sheets.
