Job summary

TECOMET, located in Perrineville, NJ, seeks a Manual Machinist to perform specialty machining on stainless steel and other alloys. You will operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and hand tools, producing parts to prints and specs.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting finished work with calipers and micrometers, documenting processes, and maintaining a safe, organized shop. High school diploma and 3+ years in a machine shop are required; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machinery including milling machines, lathes, drill press and grinders per engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit and function meet dimensional criteria.
• Complete routings, inspection reports and time entries; maintain shop floor packets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; assist in other production duties as needed.
