Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manual machining experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• High School graduate or equivalent; vocational training in machining preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large manual lathes for close tolerance work on paper machine rolls.
• Operate manual horizontal boring bars for drilling and tapping, balance weight removal, and broken fastener removal.
• Machine, repair, rework, and fit parts to required tolerances and surface finishes.
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding methods based on material type and job requirements.
• Capable of operating large overhead cranes and adhering to Voith Quality Manual procedures.
