Job summary

Voith US Inc. in Appleton, WI is hiring a Machinist I to operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and inspect parts for conformance. The role requires a high school diploma and knowledge of common machining processes. You will work in a safe, organized environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience or ability to operate manual machining equipment.
• Knowledge of stainless steel, carbon steels and/or cast iron is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and manual machines according to Work Instructions.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformance using precision equipment.
• Notify supervisor of non-conformances and assist with related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of CNC and manual machines.
• Inspects and measure’s part to determine conformance to specifications through use of precision measuring equipment.
• Performs all inspection functions as required by Work Instructions. Notify supervisor of Non-Conformances.
• All other duties that may be assigned

Requirements

• Possess good mechanical aptitude.
• Must know how to read blueprints.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge and experience operating some or all of the following machines: Manual bars, Manual milling, Manual Lathes.
• Must be knowledgeable machining any of the following: stainless steel, carbon steels and/or cast iron.
