Jobot is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for 1st shift in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and boring mills to produce precision components for industrial repair projects.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, performing precision measurements with micrometers and calipers, selecting tooling and feeds, and maintaining tight tolerances while ensuring safety and quality on every job. Hourly pay ranges from 28 to 40, depending on experience.

Competenze

3+ years of manual machining experience.
Experience with manual lathes and mills.
Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
Familiarity with measurement instruments.
Experience machining large components is a plus.
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Mansioni

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and other conventional machine tools.
Machine, modify, and repair large industrial components to blueprint specifications.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and work instructions.
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
Select tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for various materials and applications.
Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards throughout production.
Assist with troubleshooting and repair projects involving worn or damaged equipment.
Work collaboratively with machinists, welders, and maintenance professionals to complete customer projects.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
