Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions seeks a mechanically inclined Machining Operator for the first shift in Fort Wayne, IN. This temp-to-hire role offers day shift hours and a starting pay of $16.50 per hour.

The ideal candidate will operate various machining equipment, read blueprints, measure parts, and maintain quality while following safety programs. Training will cover equipment changeovers and production paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining equipment (lathes, chamfer machines, bar choppers, U-bolt benders).
• Perform tooling changeovers and machine startups.
• Read blueprints and follow production specifications.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Record inventory and complete production paperwork.
• Monitor part quality and production rates.
• Follow EPCO’s quality and safety programs.
