Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining and setup experience required.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC milling equipment.

Pro Resources is seeking a 3rd Shift CNC Machinist for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC machinery, particularly CNC mills. This is not an entry-level machine operator position. We are looking for candidates with genuine machining experience who understand precision, tolerances, tooling, part quality, and the importance of accurate measurements.

Shift and Compensation

3rd Shift Monday-Thursday 9 PM-7:30 AM

Compensation is from 49,920 USD to 58,240 USD per year

Job Duties

• Operate and set up CNC machining equipment, with a primary focus on CNC mills
• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and specifications
• Use micrometers and other precision measuring equipment to inspect parts
• Monitor tooling and identify dull or worn tools
• Change tooling as needed to maintain part quality
• Perform hands-on deburring of machined parts
• Carefully inspect and deburr your own parts without damaging critical features, dimensions, or finishes
• Maintain quality standards and ensure parts meet required tolerances
• Troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues

Background Profile

• Previous hands-on CNC machining and setup experience required
• CNC mill experience strongly preferred
• Experience using micrometers and other precision measuring tools
• Ability to recognize tooling issues and change tools as needed
• Previous hands-on deburring experience required
• Strong understanding of precision machining, tolerances, and part quality
• CNC lathe and/or grinder experience is a plus
