Job summary

Qualifications

• Broad technical training (high school plus apprenticeship/added trades training).
• Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ work-related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend components on blueprints and drawings.
• Operate a lathe and mill to fabricate metal parts or fixtures (manual machining).
• Operate vertical and horizontal band saws.
• Work under close tolerances +/- .001 and use micrometers/calipers to verify.
• Have basic hydraulic/mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Draw parts from machine shop drawings.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
