Job summary

Qualifications

• Broad technical training with basic shop mathematics and interpreting complex drawings.
• Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred.
• Minimum of three years' work-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend single components on blueprints, installation and arrangement drawings.
• Operate a lathe and mill to fabricate metal parts or fixtures for machine modifications (Manual Machining).
• Operate vertical and horizontal band saws.
• Work under close tolerances (+/- .001) using micrometer, calipers, depth gauges to verify conformity.
• Perform basic hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Measure and draw parts to be manufactured in the machine shop.
