Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with manual machining and lathe operation.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation required.
• Proficiency in precision measurement and inspection.
• Capability to set up machines and troubleshoot.
• Fabrication and maintenance of plant equipment.
• Metalworking with various metals and close tolerance machining.
• Safe operation of cranes and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machine tools to machine parts to spec.
• Machine new and used metal parts to precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform layout work from blueprints, sketches, and templates.
• Calculate dimensions, feeds, speeds, and machining requirements.
• Make and repair, dismantle, assemble, align, and repair plant equipment.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.
• Operate cranes and mobile equipment as required.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
