Rocketdyne in Redmond, WA is seeking a precision Machinist (Level IV) for a day shift in our Redmond, Washington machine shop. The role requires setting up and machining close tolerance aerospace hardware on CNC and conventional tools, with potential overtime to meet delivery schedules.

The position emphasizes reading GD&T and engineering drawings, following production planning, and maintaining a rejection rate under 2%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and 6+ years of related experience in close tolerance machining.
• Knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, tool steel, carbon steels, stainless steel, titanium, plastics and Inconel is preferred.
• Must understand and be able to use trigonometry.

Responsabilités

• Set up and machine close tolerance aerospace hardware on CNC and conventional machine tools.
• Read and interpret GD&T, engineering drawings and blueprints including true positioning and tolerancing.
• Read production planning and run jobs close to tolerances of +/- .0001".
• Maintain a rejection rate of less than 2% and use precision measuring instruments to check work.
• Set up and run CNC and conventional machine tools (including some programming) and perform other duties as assigned.
