Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Machinist III to manufacture high‑tolerance components used in flight-critical systems. You will operate CNC machines and CAM programs, with a focus on precision, quality, and meeting strict tolerances.

The role requires 4 years of diversified machining experience, CAD/CAM familiarity, and the ability to work 2nd/3rd shifts (2:15 PM–10:45 PM). FAA drug/alcohol program compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• 4 years’ experience as a diversified machinist.
• Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus.
• The ability to support 2nd/3rd shift hours (2:15 PM - 10:45 PM).
• Ability to comply with FAA Drug & Alcohol Program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems to create, repair, or alter parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Knowledge of G & M codes.
• Plan, fixturing and layout of the job.
• Hold tight tolerances of 0.0001–0.0002 inches.
• Responsible for inspection and quality of all work.
• Collaborate with Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues and make technical decisions on fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods.
