Job summary

Exline, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate conventional, CNC, and other machining centers to fabricate metal and nonmetal parts. You will review blueprints, select fixtures and tools, and regulate cutting parameters to meet tolerances.

The role requires reading drawings, measuring workpieces, and ensuring quality while documenting data. Independent work with safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Note: related experience in machine operation and setup is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece.
• Measure dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece for subsequent machining.
• Selects and secures holding fixtures and tools on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut; input or edit CNC media as required.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust controls as needed.
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Communicate with supervisor to resolve machine or assembly challenges.
• Organize time to complete jobs efficiently; complete job reports and data on job cards.
• Inspect own work and others' as instructed; perform other duties as assigned.
