Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Machinist I to serve as the setup operator for CNC machines in our manufacturing cell. You will perform setup and operation of CNC equipment and conventional machining tools to produce components that meet quality standards and detailed drawings.

You will load tools, check tooling, troubleshoot, and verify programs, read complex blueprints, and work with engineers to resolve issues. Attention to safety and quality is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience as a Machinist preferred; an Associate degree may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines and conventional machining equipment.
• Complete setup, fixturing, work offsets, tool building, and tool setting.
• Load tools, troubleshoot, and perform quality checks before run.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings.
• Record data for productivity and inspections.
