Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a skilled Machinist to perform wide-ranging operations on lathes, mills, drills, saws, and grinders in a casting parts environment, following documented procedures.

The successful candidate will read complex drawings, set up equipment, and ensure tolerances while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include programming CNC mills with CAM software, editing G-code, inspecting parts, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Read and follow technique cards and drawings; plan methods for assignments.
• Equivalently 1–3 years of applied trades training or experience.
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments and shop blueprints.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of machining operations on castings using lathes, mills, drills, saws, and grinders.
• Program CNC mills using CAM software to produce components per engineering specs.
• Read, interpret and edit G-Code to optimize performance and resolve issues.
• Check completed parts for specification compliance and report defects.
