Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an experienced CNC lathe operator to fabricate prototype components from design through full production. You will set up lathes, read complex blueprints, and coordinate heat treating and plating with outside vendors.

Mentoring junior operators and developing standard processes are key parts of the role. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of CNC lathe/mill experience, strong tool design knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC lathe and mill experience reading blueprints
• Knowledge of machine sequences and tool selection
• Tool design experience preferred
• Ability to think quickly in fast-paced environments
• Background in parts testing and troubleshooting a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe and other machine shop equipment
• Interpret complex blueprints and apply to setup and operation
• Demonstrate advanced materials knowledge (super alloys and steels) for process selection
• Coordinate with outside vendors for heat treating, plating, and tooling
• Mentor and train new machine operators and assemblers
• Develop manufacturing processes that become SOPs
