Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Machinist I to produce precision components using CNC and manual machining equipment. You will set up machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet strict tolerances while collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams to optimize processes.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Machine Technology or equivalent experience (5+ years) and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field or equivalent experience (at least 5 years relevant experience)
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Strong mathematical skills (geometry, tolerances, measurements)
• Ability to maintain high precision and tight tolerances
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operations
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate part production
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to determine machining methods
• Select and recommend appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operations
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerance and quality requirements are met
• Maintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operations
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditions
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality
• Design or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needs
• Maintain equipment, work area cleanliness, and adherence to all safety procedures
